gnome-system-monitor software package provides Process viewer and system resource monitor for GNOME, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gnome-system-monitor
gnome-system-monitor is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gnome-system-monitor package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gnome-system-monitor *
You will get with gnome-system-monitor package name, version, architecture and description in a table
